Topkapi Museum is the biggest one...the most important museum of Turkey and the Balkan Peninsula. It's an incomparably rich treasure-chest, brimming with things of historical importance. The snag is that you can't see for looking both because of the embarrassment of riches and the sheer size of the place (the Palace area covers 80 acres - set off in the wrong direction and you have to walk three times too far). Indeed, how you see it is almost as important as what you see. First, second, third and fourth courtyards
Topkapi Palace:
The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of cyrstal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed.
* Treasury and Harem sections in Topkapi Palace are not included in the program and are due to extra entry.
Little Hagia Sophia Mosque:
The mosque is known as one of the oldest standing churches in Istanbul dating back to 6th century. It's early domed-basilica architectural plan of famous Hagia Sophia which was applied here first time in the history. Temple is founded by powerful emperor Justinianos whose reign was golden age of Roman Empie and now is used as a mosque since 1497.
